Mr.
Foy is a fourteenth-year transactional attorney, producer, published author,
and seminar lecturer in the entertainment subspecialty of negative pickup
and presale financing arrangements..
C. Foy has practiced law since November 1991, when
he was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. In May 1995, Mr. Foy was admitted
to the State Bar of California, and has practiced in Los Angeles since that
time.
Prior to beginning his law practice, Mr. Foy obtained
a Bachelor of Science degree in Film Production from the University of Texas
at Austin, College of Communications. During his time in Austin, he became
an experienced independent film producer, acquiring experience in film development,
preproduction, principal photography, post-production and delivery.
Following admission to the Texas Bar, C. Foy began
developing his skills as a litigator, serving as Staff Attorney for John
O'Quinn, in Houston, and later providing contract litigation services to
such Fortune 500 Companies as Arco and Northrop-Grumman. Mr. Foy has wide
ranging transactional experience, and has worked for Polygram Film Corporation,
Sony Pictures Entertainment, and RGH International Film Enterprises.
C. Foy has served as production counsel on numerous
independent feature-films (see Filmography).
Additionally, he has represented actors, producers, writers, directors,
and recording artists. Mr. Foy's transactional experience also includes
financing contracts, private placement offerings, other securities transactions,
and corporate acquisitions.
